Research
Bacteriostatic water (BAC water) is a sterile water preparation containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a preservative. It is the standard reconstitution solution used in peptide research to dissolve lyophilized (freeze-dried) peptide compounds prior to use. The benzyl alcohol preservative inhibits bacterial growth, allowing the reconstituted solution to remain stable for extended periods under proper storage conditions. BAC water is isotonic and compatible with the vast majority of research-grade peptides. It is an essential ancillary product for any peptide research program. For research use only.
